CHCMI (Community Health Care Management Initiative)
4th Saturday Meeting at GP
- Meeting on local public health issued is held at Gram Panchayats on 4th Saturday of each month led by the Prodhan of the concerned Gram Panchayat and in presence of Sanchalak of Swasthya-O-Siksha Upasamiti and other Panchayat members, Health Supervisors, Anganwadi Supervisors, all ANMs, Part-time Doctors, Secretary or Executive Assistant of the GP and 5 representatives from SHGs.
- A report in prescribed format (Parisishta-I) is prepared at GP level, compilation of GP data is done at Block level and sent to District every month.
Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC) :
- Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC) is formed as Citizen Task Force for improvement of public health indicators in local area.
- Formation : Chairman- Panchayat Member, Secretary- ANM of the local Sub-centre, Convener- ASHA (AWW, if ASHA is not present) and other members- 2nd highest vote getter in last Panchayat Election , Anganwadi workers, CSPs of Anandadhara project, VRPs of Social Audit, teacher attached to Village child protection committee, 2 women members selected by Chairman and 5 members from SHGs.
Training on CHCMI / VBDC :
- Training of Block functionaries on VBDC along with CHCMI (Community Health Care Management Initiative) at District level held at Zilla Parishad.
- Training of GP functionaries on VBDC/ CHCMI completed at all the 8 Blocks.
GP level dispensaries
- GP Level dispensaries are presently functioning.
- 02 Homeopathic GP level dispensaries with 02 Homoeopathic Medical Officers & 01 Compounder-cum-Dressers and 02 GP level Ayurvedic dispensaries with 02 Ayurvedic Medical Officer are functioning under State budget Head Category.
- 14 Homoepathic Medical Officers and 3 Ayurvedic Medical Officers are working in 17 GP level dispensaries under National Health Mission.
VBDC (Vector Borne Disease Control) Program
- House to house Survey is done all over the district by VBDC Worker for 30 days in a month.
- Vector control works like container management, garbage pile management, blocked drain management, low land with stagnant water management, tyre repairing/recycling factory management, unsafe construction site management, mosquito larvae management at canal/ ditch/ cesspool are done by the SAVRPs/ volunteers.
- Both Survey and vector control activities are monitored by a DPHC Cell under Paschim Bardhaman Zilla Parishad.
- Bio-Larvicides & Chemical Larvicides for destroy the mosquito larvae is procured and supplied by the Health Deptt .
- Village Health Sanitation & Nutrition Committee acts as Citizen Task Force for Dengue prevention at Gram Samsads.
